Commercial Acquisition Intern

At Benkey, you will work within an ambitious Finance Boutique that brings investors and real estate together. As a Commercial Acquisition Intern, you play an important role in our acquisition team. You will fully focus on identifying new real estate opportunities through cold acquisition and by approaching potential partners and properties. This internship offers you the opportunity to gain valuable commercial experience and to be an active part of the growth of our real estate fund’s portfolio.

We aim to optimally manage, develop, and grow our real estate portfolio. As a Finance Boutique, we are entrepreneurial, agile, and carry a strong sense of responsibility. The upcoming period is focused on significant growth and further professionalization, partly supported by the submitted AIFMD license application. Our ambition is to grow to an investment volume of €500 million within 5 years.

What will you do?

• Cold acquisition: Actively approach property owners, brokers, and other parties via phone, email, and other channels
• Identifying investment opportunities: Research and analyze real estate assets that fit within Benkey’s investment strategy
• Market and data analysis: Support in analyzing market developments, trends, and opportunities within the real estate market
• Relationship management: Build and maintain contact with property owners, commercial real estate brokers, and other partners
• Supporting real estate deals: Share property information and insights with the acquisition team to support decision-making
• Aftercare of deals: Assist with the administrative and commercial onboarding of new assets, including supporting tenant communication
• Event support: Contribute to the organization and execution of commercial events, including networking events such as the Gooische Vastgoedborrel

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Commercial Economics, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field
• Interest in real estate and a strong commercial drive
• Strong communication skills and a confident approach
• Enthusiasm for cold acquisition and building new relationships
• Analytical skills and an eye for detail
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
